Today is a day of rest. And if you’re as smart as us you will be doing it poolside.
Yes of course that’s a bottle of water, though we may have to order a Bloody Mary later on.
And yes, the flash has made Barbie’s bikini a little see through. But when you read our resolutions you will realise that this year is only going to get sexier.
Caught somewhere between that Bank Holiday feeling and that back to school dread. The holidays are winding down so it’s bye bye bikinis and hello sensible shoes… As if. Bikinis and ridiculous shoes are the dolls main wardrobe staple!
Holy guacamole! It is hot on the Côte. Too hot. We’ve been hit by a serious heatwave here on the Riviera. The dolls are literally melting. I don’t think that will quite qualify them for the Paralympics so I have to keep them cool instead. The best way is of course to strip off to a teeny tiny bikini and hit the pool. Matching heels and clutch optional.
They think it’s all over….
One last splash! Does it matter who won gold or silver last night in the diving? Even serious bulge watchers don’t learn their names. What matters is that Tom Daley came away from London 2012 with a medal. After all the hype and all the pressure. He got a medal! I was of course glued to the screen (!).
And now it’s all about the closing ceremony. A show to end all shows. A show to wipe the floor with the jubilee? A show to… Well I’m excited in case you can’t tell. I’m hoping for a recreation of the Spice Girls’ Who Do You Think You Are? video with Tom Daley playing Victoria Beckham and Mo Farah playing Scary.
We’re getting some use out of our birthday Sinatra jacket this week. Beyoncé is here in France so we thought it might be nice for her to try it on. Her other half was spotted at the French Tennis Open but I think she’d prefer to relax with us by the pool as it’s hotting up!

We’ve taken inspiration from our friends over at Elle magazine and got rid of the girls. For today at least. For the first time at Elle, and quite possibly at Barbie of the Day we have a cover boy instead of a cover girl. Just like Ken, David Beckham is an icon. A style superstar with a fabulous other half.
Who better then, to feature as the latest cover star? Dripping wet and delicious, David looks better than ever. Ken is a little more clean cut so not so many tattoos but for your pleasure with a little help from my friend Mr Photoshop…
Hot. But we like him as he is.

Nothing quite beats a liquid lunch on a Friday. We love to start the weekend early here at BOTD Towers, (usually about 4pm on Thursday) so we’re dressing to impress in a micro mini printed dress and mismatched heels. Very Helena Bonham Carter/Katy Perry! With a hot lunch date it’s essential to keep cool, hence why we’re dining on the water today. Bon appetit!
Her love may not cost a thing but her divorce might. J.Lo and Marc Anthony, Latino lovelies and pop’s most unlikely pairing have decided to call it a day. What terrible timing too, as La Lopez should be putting all her efforts into promoting her new album (still no release date by the way) Oh well. These things happen, often when on a world publicity tour. Awkward question alert. In the meantime, look out world. The diva is single!
Today is a day to relax. Chilling out in classic couture with classical music. Taking the phone off the hook (for a couple of hours at least) to do nothing. Maybe a little swim. A stroll with our hired pooch. Nothing too energetic. Time to lie back and enjoy the day.
Your time is up! At last, Mrs Beckham can breathe a sigh of relief. No longer is she destined to be the only girl in a house full of boys. Queen Victoria has given birth to Harper Seven, a name she has seemingly had a long time to choose and is as fabulous/bonkers as expected. I’m sure you were expecting a pink pram for the new arrival but VB is not too Posh to push her pushchair of the past (try saying that after wetting the baby’s head.)
Another underwater shoot to get you in the mood for a wet weekend at the festivals. Ill try and dig out some wellies for a Glastonbury shoot tomorrow, but in the meantime, enjoy some glitzy wet couture.
Making a splash at a pool party this afternoon. Feeling fierce and fabulous…. though not sure how my hair is gonna cope in the water. Hairspray and a team of stylists on hand.
