Hello Norma Jean

Well? Did you watch Smash last night? It was Marilyn-tastic. If you don’t know what I’m talking about then check it out over on Sky Atlantic. The hit US show which is being billed as Glee for Grown Ups centres on the process of creating a Marilyn Monroe Broadway musical and stars the gorgeous Debra Messing.(Did you see her amazing nude photoshoot for Allure this month?)
Inspired by the legendary blonde, BOTD has come over all Marilyn today for our 850th post, and despite there already being a few official Miss Monroe dolls from Mattel (see below) we opted for a slightly sexier (now there’s a surprise) look. From one iconic blonde to another.

Double Trouble

A Tuesday twosome outside BOTD Towers in the dappled sunlight. There’s no such thing as “too sexy” for work, as far as we’re concerned and these ladies have taken power dressing to the next level. Yes, red heels again but we couldn’t resist with these nearly nude beauties.

Material Monday

My Twitter followers will already know that my good friend Madonna-legend, icon, Queen of Pop and reinvention has been hanging round BOTD Towers again, no doubt going through the bins looking for something fabulous to wear. All those track suits? And all that black? It’s 700 degrees here on the Côte D’Azur, woman! Put on a sun dress already!
So to return to our occasional series of Madonna Monday we’re going back in time to when the Material Girl was a little more glamourous, when the Queen of Pop took inspiration from Hollywood royalty. She showed us exactly why Gentlemen Prefer Blondes and made us realise why diamonds really are a doll’s best friend.
