This was the scene at BOTD Towers this morning as Amber and Madison struggled to pack what turns out to be a pretty hefty box of clothes (and shoes and bags and jewellery and hats and furs and scarves) for a weekend away. Have you not heard of a capsule wardrobe, ladies?

I admit my own case is pretty jam packed (full of the same, obv). I used to be great at packing but small case + warm/thick/heavy clothes = fashion dilemma.
So where are we going that is going to be so chilly?

Getting Wiggy With It

Woah, Donatella stayed too long on the sunbed.
No wait. It’s okay. It’s just Grace raiding the BOTD wig cupboard. What do you mean you don’t have a wig cupboard?
I love a good wig. And I love a bad wig even more. With Halloween just around the corner my thoughts obviously turn to which wig for which witch?
Not that the wig cupboard only opens up in October. Wigs are all the rage it seems, with stars much more confident about wig wearing and coming clean about. Wear your wigs with pride, people. And I say people, I mean girls and dolls.
I remember not so long ago people being shocked that Beyoncé’s hair was not Beyoncé’s hair at all but a ~~Latvian street worker~~ lovely shiny wig. Wait, Naomi Campbell wears a wig too? But I thought black girls had naturally poker straight floor length tresses? And Tyra? And Tina? And Katy Perry? And Gaga? Surely not Gaga? Really? OMG!
Thank goodness Adele and Nikki Minaj are so much more up front about up top.
Anyway… Back to the show.
I decided to do a best (and worst) of the wigs. Since Grace got the Chop it seemed like the perfect mission for this model.
So this is where we started…

So our first wig was our old faithful, the Liza Cabaret bob…

As seen in stories featuring such names as Tyra, Lea Michele, Cheryl, The Winkleman and also as our Cabaret girl for our Berlin special a couple of years ago.
And What about this Mel B number?

Next up, the Betsey Johnson. Not one of my best fringes but…

Ooh and underneath that one I just found this Fifth Element Jean Paul Gaultier number. Makes me think of Sarah Harding circa Call The Shots…

Gaga! The Review

What can I say?
It was absof*ckinglutely amazeballs.
She looked amazing, despite it being a very sweaty venue. Her ass looked fantastic. Of course the costumes were ridonculously gorgeous. Loads more Versace than previously seen, Merci Donatella, or should that be grazie? Whatevs.
Despite the spectacle of it all, my fave bits were her banging away at the piano on her own. The acapella Hair was something else, especially with the translation. Look for Mes Cheveux on YouTube, I’m sure it will be there by tea time. I saw the gang from my hairdressers, Kult enjoying that bit especially!
I’ll find some pics online as I didn’t want to be weighed down, dancing with a camera and there is a picture on my Twitter already of me and the girls before the show. Check it out.

Well the day has come!
Tonight I’m heading to see Mother Monster herself, on her Born This Way Ball tour. Okay so this meaty couture might not be ideal for dancing in the aisles but then these sky high heelless boots are hardly appropriate either. That is not the point of Lady Gaga, my friends. This is about fabulousness not fashion!

I know you’ve pictures from this shoot before but….
Well it’s a classic. And I just found a whole bunch of images on my old camera and…. Well.
It is now one week until Lady Gaga comes to Nice. And one week until I go to see her.
I have managed to put a lid on my excitement until now, but with one week to go I think I’m officially allowed to start getting excited.
Bedazzler at the ready! I’ve got my coke can curlers in and my glue gun set to stun! I’m just waiting on my massive order of Parma ham. Mmmmmeaty!

Barbie should do more magazine covers, don’t you think?
When my US Vogue finally arrived with Lady Gaga on the cover I couldn’t wait to devour it, page by page. But I did wait. For two whole days until I knew I could enjoy it properly, on my own, on the beach and without interruptions. Bliss.

We Need to Talk About Yellow Shoes

No, not the eagerly anticipated sequel to Tilda Swinton’s amazing movie. I’ve already talked about yellow being a key trend for this spring/summer but today I’m focussing on footwear. The dolls are loving these lemon Louboutins as they are so hot they can melt any snow that gets in our way. We need to talk about yellow shoes because they are everywhere. Don’t believe me? Not only that, the stars can’t get enough. They look great sitting down…

I actually have the same banana Converse as Miley and they always bring a smile to my face on the greyest day. If Cons aren’t your thing then take a look at these amazing heels. The ones from New Look are only £25 and look just like Minnie’s and they have even more yellow shoes on their site including an amazing lemon wedge(see what I did there?)

Keep an eye out for yellow shoe addict, Katy Perry. She loves that canary yellow.

Time to go undercover with some Philip Treacy inspired headgear. Perfect for not drawing attention on a stroll to the market to stock up on peaches and such. Isabella Blow would be proud.
