From Cheryl in Altazurra to BryanBoy in Givenchy and Jessie J in erm, River Island.. tropical bird print is everywhere. Well. Not in Leeds but in lots of other places. I bought into this micro trend about three months ago with a super cute top from Zara (not pictured.. Can’t find it) which I still haven’t worn but would look amazing with everything. Again, not in Leeds. But back on the Côte!

Well maybe our old friend Cheryl. She’s been going crazy with her clashing prints recently. A new found confidence in the wardrobe department or paper has just a crazy drunk stylist (don’t look at us when you read that!)

It’s all about the hair. I’m not sure if I’m honest. Madison has tried red extensions before, back in the Cheryl days but I thought I’d bring them back to brighten it up a bit.
Chezza has a new video out. Her hair doesn’t look like this. But it does look brilliant. In fact she looks pretty fantabulous throughout. Great outfits. Love that Altuzarra blazer. Here she is wearing it in a sewer…
I think it’s dry clean only so she should be careful. I might try and colour in the dolls’ white blazer with the same pattern. I think the shoes deserve their own post… stay tuned and in the meantime watch the video if you like.

Seriously? Are the dolls not getting dressed at all this week?
So when my friend Kathy sent me my amazing Ken watch a couple of weeks ago from Americaland, she also sent me this amaaaaazing book on boots.
I love a coffee table book! I love coffee. I love tables. I love books. And I love love love me a boot. Or a pair of boots. In year one of BOTD, thigh boots was one of the most popular tags and “Barbie+thigh+boot+ruched” was a frequently googled question that led people to the site (that and “Claudia+Winkleman+thigh+boot+fringe”, go figure!?).
The dolls have a lot of boots. Knee boots. Ankle boots. Shoe boots. And yes, lots of thigh boots. It got to the point where I was receiving pairs from China, Hong Kong, Thailand every week. Gifts from (crazy fetish) fans and of course my own slight eBay addiction.
So this really is the perfect book for me and the dolls. You can see how much Madison loves it…
And how do we feel about these red extensions? No, I didn’t steal them from Amber. I actually found them whilst going through Jessie J’s bins. I quite like them. It reminds me of when Madison was a Cheryl Cole impersonator.

It’s a big news day! Cheryl Cole has cut her hair! Hold on to the news desk, things don’t get much more exciting than this! No wait, apparently they do! She’s only gone and dyed it blonde as well! Forget Greece, DSK and Christine Lagarde, this is News. We don’t quite dare give our Chezza doll such a dramatic makeover but we may consider it as the summer goes on. Pints of lemon juice and lots of Riviera sunshine have given us some awesome highlights but do we dare hit the bottle (of peroxide.) In the meantime we are brightening up our day with some Wimbledon whites in preparation for today’s ladies semis and a weekend of weddings.
Day two of the BOTD fashion spread. Today is all about the evolution of military chic, from All Saints (the band) in combats and wife beaters, to Cheryl Cole, Fighting for her Love if not her seat on the X Factor panel. This is the new military. A glitzy army of chic cadets.

We’re bringing sexy back in this fierce, pearly dress today at BOTD. We received an invitation to a White Party last night and this bodycon number will certainly turn heads in the village. We are super excited that next week will be jam packed with visitors at BOTD Towers. Mum is coming to visit as well as some amazing friends that we haven’t seen for way too long. Don’t forget to pack your whitest spring whites, people!
It should never be underestimated how difficult life can be for celebrities. The endless invasion of privacy not to mention having to spend all that money. But when it comes to going out it really is quite simple. You borrow a dress, some jewels, a bag. Have your hair and make up done by professionals. Then you are driven to an event, you get out of the car. Smile. Wave. End of. And the thing is you get invited to lots of these things. So it’s never really a surprise to step out of the car and onto a red carpet. So why, with your team of stylists and advisors must you insist on clashing your dress with the carpet. Cheryl Cole looked absolutely stunning at last night’s Elle Style Awards but her dress melted into the ground beneath her, poor love.
