We raced to the airport this morning, late for the flight. Not easy when you have done nothing but eat dough and cheese all weekend.
Don’t pretzel my buttons!
It has been a super fun weekend. Shamazeballs in fact.
Now I know what you are thinking….
A lilac rubber minidress, Richard? This is not going to keep Madison warm in Berlin!
Quite right. But I’ll find some giant fur coat to throw on over the top. In the meantime I thought I’d show off her Ger-manicure. Ha ha (thanks OPI).

Sparkling accessories ought to turn heads at the art gallery this afternoon. Loving my fake candy clutch from the MMMxH&M collaboration.

I love living in sunshineland but I do get a perverse thrill at the prospect of winter dressing. Hats, scarves, gloves, boots, snoods, mittens, earmuffs. Oh my!
My Marc Jacobs fingerless cashmere gloves were much admired and frequently lost and my Muji muffs (*snigger) kept my ears warm but my quiff in place. Smart!
Other accessories credits go to All Saints and Paul Smith for this weekend’s hats and of course my friend Kathy for the scarf she knitted for me last November. I have no problem being head to toe high street as long as I have some killer accessories to hand.
The dolls of course have no clue how to dress for the winter so some serious thought (and investment) was required for this trip.
New boots, chosen by you, lovely doll lovers, arrived just in time…

Sexy and practical. Or at least I think so. Prepare to see them in many shoots to come.
No animals were harmed in the making of this fabulous fur hat though I did nearly burn my fingers on my glue gun.

This was the scene at BOTD Towers this morning as Amber and Madison struggled to pack what turns out to be a pretty hefty box of clothes (and shoes and bags and jewellery and hats and furs and scarves) for a weekend away. Have you not heard of a capsule wardrobe, ladies?

I admit my own case is pretty jam packed (full of the same, obv). I used to be great at packing but small case + warm/thick/heavy clothes = fashion dilemma.
So where are we going that is going to be so chilly?
Berlin Baby!
I Don’t Speak German But I Can If You Like!
A lot later than planned, it’s time to say goodbye to Berlin. It’s been a mad couple of days and we’ve seen some wonderful things, tasted unusual delicacies and visited great parts of the city…. And there is a lot more to explore which means we simply have to come back again soon. As always There is no room for our purchases in our miniscule hand luggage so we’ve thrown on a ball gown for the airport. Just time for one last pose in front of the pretty, blinking TV Tower.

Looking out of our hotel window, this Berliner Ensemble might be a bit chilly to explore what the city has to offer, but as we only packed a tiny capsule wardrobe of LBDs it will just have to do. Look out Berlin. Here come the dolls!

Willkommen, bienvenue, welcome…. To Berlin! Meine Damen und Herren, Mesdames et Messieurs, Ladies and Gentlemen! Guden Abend, bon soir, we geht’s? Comment ca va? Do you feel good?
I bet you do!
