Vintage BOTD

I was just flicking through some old photos I’ve transferred to the iPad and came across this little gem. Some of the old school BOTD beauties working on an America’s Next Top Model (Mo-doll?) shoot. I love the makeover episodes when the hottest girls have to do a GI Jane and cry and then Mr J is all, “get over yourself!”

Back to Black

We only said goodbye with words…

Going back to BOTDs roots today with a bit of high fashion. My earliest creations were labeled “slutty funeral chic” which I find rather delicious. And today, of all days seems like the perfect occasion to celebrate the art of Little Black Dressing in a slutty funeral style.

Along Came an Angel

Another beautiful day so another beautiful dress. Once upon a hundred years ago Keira Knightly showed up on a red carpet looking like a Tracey Emin installation, draped in what appeared to be a pile of bedding. The critics were not impressed but I have to say I loved it. Very Grecian Goddess, all drapes and plaits, Angelina in Alexander. From red carpet to fruit market in one swift BOTD thought process.

All the Lovers

It’s like all my prayers were answered. “Kylie, please wear more thigh boots.” And boy did she rock it last night at Glastonbury. Performing with the uber glam Scissor Sisters in a skimpy lace leotard with matching cape, she looked every inch the pop princess that she is. Kylie, we’ve missed you!

Glaston-Barbie

Glastonbury! Where music and mud collide. Unusually, this weekend the sun is shining and the acts will be frying on stage. Fortunately the BOTD Band will be keeping cool in a undisclosed VIP tented location. Not your average girl group, they are a combination of festival elements. Eco warrior chic, gypsy hippy and good old fashion champagne swigging rock star. Festival fashion for everyone. Rock on!!!

VB LBD pt deux

So the ever lovely Mrs Beckham was spotted out and about in London town last night at Diane Von Furstenberg’s rather fashionable dinner at Claridges. On the menu was a sumptuous pair of thigh boots (and you know how much I love a thigh boot) served with a delicious Giles Deacon LBD. It really makes the mouth water, non?
