The next big thing?
What could be more romantic than spending Valentine’s day with the one you love?
Well if the one you love is Barbie, then nothing could be more romantic which is why I took my number one girl out on the town last night (Kelly Rowland came along too but there was method in that madness…).
Forget fancy restaurants, the dolls wanted to dance so we headed straight to Handpicked Media’s Fashion Week launch party just off Carnaby Street.
Obviously it was great to see my Handpicked Media family and meet some of the newer bloggers too, putting faces to @twitter names, but why is Barbie in a giant shoe?
Well obviously it was because we were joined by the gorgeous and totally Krazeballs Karen K.
You may remember me writing about the fabulous Karen K last year, after our old pal Nicole Skirtswinger wore a pair of Karen’s amazing thigh boots on the X Factor final.
Well you know me and a thigh boot!
Hence why Kelly turned up in hers.
Anyhoo.
Karen’s shoes are totes gorgeous so Babs soon kicked off her Valentine pumps in favour of something with a bit more edge.

The fabulous thing about these bad boys, as Karen was explaining to me over several a glass of fizz, is the heart is flexible. You can open and close it, depending on whether or not you’re available! How rude?!? She was reading my mind!

Now I’m used to getting looked at when I’m posing the dolls but last night I had a freaking film crew on me all night….
So I’m afraid they made it into my shots….
Which is alright because one of them was gorgeous…

Well, quite but baby blue is such a difficult colour to pull off unless you are, erm, a baby. As such they have been featured on the blog… Once.
So I decided to totally bastardise them last night. I got a couple of lovely Nails Inc varnishes in my goody bag on Monday night, (the goody bag deserves its own post but I already ate the Bloody Mary flavoured popcorn,) so set about giving them a new look. I tried out Porchester Terrace, a gorgeous mushroomy nude which is better as a nail colour than a shoe colour.
But in the end went with Black Taxi which is super hi-shine and makes the shoes look like patent. Plus, black and red. How sexy? Perfect for Valentine’s day. Maybe with a fishnet? Too much?

It’s a kinda back to work day for a lot of people so we’re all dressed up (almost) ready for the office, celebrating Monsieur Loboutin’s anniversaire in stye.
Beyoncé is working that classic shoebox topless office party PVC pencil skirt look with some skyscraper peeptoes and the latest copy of, erm, Chic Chic magazine
Another day seems to have passed without our resolutions so maybe I will just have to tie them in to this week’s posts.
Resolution 1. More fierce footwear/office wear/underwear.
Resolution 2. Better makeup. Much better makeup! Sorry today is a disaster on the lip front.
Love her or hate her. She’s preggers. She is never mentioned on Barbie of the Day which is kinda mad as she fits the plastic fantastic mould (haha).
It’s not that I dislike Kim Kardashian. I don’t want to sound like my mum and say I don’t know who she is. Of course I know who she is. I’m not entirely sure what she does but I’m told this doesn’t matter. She doesn’t do anything. She just is! She is a brand. And a big brand at that. And I quite like that.
But she’s not news. She’s just telly. Which is fine.
I started this shoot as a poolside, beachy, floppy hat, tropical print bla bla bla, but as I piled on the accessories an image took hold. And it was an image that wouldn’t go away. Emblazoned on my retinas from seeing too many pictures of the Kardashian Klan out and about not doing, just being. Fortunately I had brought my miniature prosthetic baby bump with me (never travel without one) and the story was transformed as I stuck it up her sarong, a line I never thought I’d write. But enjoyed doing so.
Will she become a regular feature on BOTD?
Probably not.
But you never know. I get a lot of (often weird) requests to feature more or less of certain stars. More Kate Moss. Less Rihanna. More Pink. Less Skirtswinger (never gonna happen). But to add to the 2013 Resolutions I will try and include more new people, starting with Kim.
P.S Whoever it is that keeps emailing asking for more Claudia Winkleman dolls, I will, erm, do my best.

The dolls just want to laze around looking at their new shoes but I’ve already done a photo shoot, put Beyoncé’s hair in curlers, had breakfast and been to the gym. (I was even in the gym on Christmas morning because I am crazy and live in a hotel.)
This is the hard part. The deathly days between Christmas and New Year. Don’t get depressed, doll lovers. I will do my best to fill them with fashion and fabulousness and will throw in some reviews of the year to bring back happy memories and to excite my newest followers with things to come.
Here is something I intend to write about. Fill fill fill. Clutch bag. Party season. LBD. Lipstick, fall over on escalator. Etc etc…..
Decisions, decisions…
I don’t want to be a Baby about this, but sometimes you just don’t know what to wear for a night at the theatre.
Obv my default setting is Posh but sometimes if you want to be first in line for a gin and tonic an ice cream or even a Ginger ale in the interval, something more Sporty is appropriate to get to the front of the queue.
Or what about those tiger courts? Too Scary?
What are you guys up to later? Any plans? Anything? No?

Another day, another hair appointment. You probably think I have my hair done all the time (you’d be right). But boys need frequent trips to the barbers and before I leave Nice for who knows how long, I figured I better visit Jenn at Kult. (Funny how important the Jens are in my life!?)
Okay so it’s only been two weeks since my last cut so it really was totally unnecessary but more importantly I wanted to check out the brand new salon! Look at Jenn behind the wheel of the car. Cray cray!
